Per-seat suites price out experiments
Every founder shopping for "a cheap Workspace alternative" has done the same math: $7 a head for email, times every hire, times every side project's domain — plus an AI assistant bundled into the bill that your team already replaced with better tools. When you're pre-revenue, a suite isn't infrastructure. It's overhead wearing infrastructure's clothes.
The math at startup size
| Seats | Google Workspace | Mailometer |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | $21/mo | $6/mo |
| 5 | $35/mo | $10/mo |
| 10 | $70/mo | $20/mo |
Aliases are free — founders@, support@, invest@ all route where you want without becoming "users". Add inboxes when you actually hire.
Google Workspace Business Starter, $7/user/mo as listed at workspace.google.com, July 2026, annual billing. Mailometer: $2/inbox/mo.
Look funded from day one
Investors, customers and candidates all read the address before the pitch. A domain inbox — signed with DKIM, SPF and DMARC — is the cheapest credibility your startup will ever buy. It stays yours: standard IMAP, portable any day, never locked to us.
We're pre-launch too — that's the deal
Mailometer is in early access, hardening in the open, with our own companies' production mail riding on it. You know exactly what that stage feels like. Get in early, shape it, and pay $2 an inbox instead of funding someone else's AI roadmap.
Questions worth answering straight
Is $2 a real price or a teaser?
Real, and structural: we own the mail infrastructure and only build email, so there’s no suite or surcharge for your bill to fund. Early access itself takes no payment at all.
What happens when we grow past ten people?
The same math, longer: $2 per inbox, aliases free, no tier cliffs. Per-inbox pricing scales with mailboxes you create, not headcount.
What if we outgrow you or you fold?
Your domain is yours and your mail is standard IMAP — repoint the MX records and take everything. That portability is the point of owning your email, and it works in both directions.
Not quite your shape?
